Join the Malibu Garden Club for a tour of the Thorne Family Farm.
The Thorne Family Farm provides organic produce to several restaurants and grocery stores in Malibu. We will be given a behind the scenes tour of how they raise their produce. I love the quote from their website as follows:
For over 50 years, the Thorne’s have been planting the soil of Malibu. Harvesting, lush strawberries, vibrant blueberries, and crisp lettuce has helped our community come together and enjoy the simple beauty that is fresh food. Eat well, live well.
We selected Saturday for the tour because their farmstand will still be up and you can see all the produce they sell.
After the tour, the club will provide a lunch of salads, pizzas and iced tea from Spruzzo at a price of $10 per person. Celebrate Mother’s Day one day early and bring your mother.
You may park on Bonsall and walk into the farm. Carpooling is recommended. RSVP by Wednesday May 10th.
