For our April meeting, we were pleased to have Owen Dell, an award-winning, internationally admired landscape architect, author and educator, and the principal of Owen Dell & Associates in Santa Barbara, specializing in sustainable landscape architectural services. Owen presented Sustainable Landscaping for Dummies, A Visionary Look at the Future of Gardens. He shared his vision of how environmentally and socially conscious landscaping can make a huge contribution to a brighter future. This dynamic, eye-opening talk forever changed the way we understand our relationship to the landscape.

Owen certainly gave an engaging, shocking, inspirational presentation, one also filled with solutions we can all use. He delivered a powerful message on sustainability, with a sense of humor. For those who did not really know the meaning of the word and all the many ways to apply it to gardening & your way of life – it was clearly defined for us by Owen. Thanks so much, Owen!
