DESCRIPTION:The Malibu Garden Club will host a New Year’s Day Party\, Jan
 uary 1\, 2024  at Glen and Terry Gessford’s house from 1:30 to 4:00 PM. 
 We will be serving hors d’oeuvres and lunch.  \n\nMalibu Garden Club mem
 bers enjoyed a spectacularly beautiful warm day for the New Year’s Day P
 arty. Someone said It was like sitting on top of the world looking across 
 the valley to the Channel Islands.  The American Beauty Jade hedges and Ag
 ave Fox Tails were in full bloom we’re in the foreground. The Club. whic
 h now has over 60 members\, showed up in force to enjoy a catered lunch fr
 om Spruzzos and a garden tour lead by host Terry Gessford.  The Beet Salad
  was the Club Favorite followed by the Chocolate Chip Cake made by Yvonne 
 Gelbman. Thank you Yvonne. Also\, thanks to our Hospitality  Committee  of
  Cory Buckner\, and Judy Graham-Bell who prepared new easy to read name ta
 gs.  Amy Wang brought some delicious Chinese tea  eggs.  Some photos of th
 e party are attached.\n\nComing events of the Malibu Garden Club include a
  February trip to the Annenberg House and lunch at the beach restaurant. O
 n March 23\,a gathering will be hosted by Tom and Stephanie Loo and neighb
 ors\, Bill and Carol Powell.  Tom has a beautiful\, rose garden you don’
